To begin, I'll point out that I've never actually done anything storywise in this game, so I have no knowledge of what any of that is like. That only goes to show what this game accomplishes in non-linear gameplay of course. As such this is one of the best console RPG's to play if you're wanting to go on an adventure without having to follow a scripted plot. The rather huge world map ensures that you'll have a lot of places to explore and many quests to complete and the moral freedom adds a level of diversity to your actions in these locations. Character customization is very fine as well with plenty of races to choose from (Orcs, cheetah men, elves, etc) and plenty of equipment to try out. This is also a game where doing anything can be called leveling up as every sort of action has experience points to acquire. This furthers customization by allowing you to focus on certain traits you want your character to be strong in. Lastly, don't get turned off from the game when you can't kill that crab outside the first village. This game does take some time before you get a consistent hit rate! (owned, not completed. accurate score is 8.25)
